Shopping with us
These terms apply when you use the Silva Bookshop website or place an order through it. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Refund and Returns Policy.
Provide accurate contact and delivery details so we can process your order and reach you if something needs checking.
Books, prices and availability
Prices are displayed in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR). Delivery charges depend on the service selected and are shown at checkout before you place your order.
We aim to keep book descriptions, editions, cover images, prices and stock information accurate. Covers may differ between printings. If a particular edition or cover matters to you, contact us before ordering.
If an item is unavailable or a listing error affects your order, we will contact you to explain the available options. We will not substitute a different book or ask you to accept a changed price without your agreement.
Orders and payments
An order reference records your order; it does not by itself confirm that an online payment succeeded. Follow the payment instructions and check your order status.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Online card payments are handled through OnePay. For bank transfers, use the account details and reference provided with your order.
If a payment appears to have been deducted but your order is still unpaid, contact us with your order reference and payment reference before trying again. Never send your card number, PIN, CVV or one-time password to our team.
Delivery and order changes
Delivery depends on your location, item availability and the selected delivery service. Any delivery estimate is an estimate, and delays can occur.
Check your address and telephone number carefully. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order; changes may not be possible once the parcel has been dispatched.
If a parcel is delayed, missing or arrives with an issue, contact us with your order reference so we can help investigate.
Your account and responsible use
Keep your password and account access secure. Let us know if you suspect someone has used your account without permission.
Do not use the website for fraudulent orders, unauthorised access, harmful uploads or activity that disrupts other customers. We may restrict access or pause suspicious orders while checking the issue.
Returns, concerns and updates
Our Refund and Returns Policy explains how to report a damaged, incorrect or missing item and request help with a return.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law. Contact us first if you have a concern so we can work towards a resolution.
We may update these terms as our services change. Changes do not remove rights relating to an order you have already placed.
